(1) It is high time now to think seriously and take correct decision in the interest of reviving and establishing rule of law within society. The police personnel are becoming targets of attack not only from terrorists, but also from common people. Where from these people get courage to attack police and why? These instances are very bad sign of deteriorating law and order situation. Are we really marching towards chaos and anarchy?
(2) What is the cause for this? Who are responsible for this? Think, think and act! Are people getting nervous by their cases remaining pending for years together in law courts? But why so? On one hand, there are thousands of lawyers learned in law waiting to be heard with their prayers in law and on another hand, there are only very few judges in law courts to apply their judicial minds for giving judgments in terms of law. This creates a complex situation of more demand for justice and less supply of justice. The result is very shocking. The people are tempted to take law in their hands and grab their justice by themselves. So do not blame only people. Let all politicians, who are supposed to be commanders of law for keeping rule of law intact within society, think and take correct decision to rectify this dangerous situation in the interest of not only people, but in their own interests. Today, people have started attacking police and tomorrow they will start attacking politicians too out of their nervousness resulting from failure of politicians to lead people in true sense of law and in true spirit of justice.
(3) The human population is increasing day by day, but police force for execution of criminal law and judges force for adjudication of both civil and criminal law is not getting increased in proportion to growth in such population. Why cannot government appoint advocates waiting for legal work as judges of law courts and also as legal advisers of police to be posted at every police station? The police many times do not understand difference between civil law and criminal law and advocates learned in these laws and posted at each police station at remuneration to be paid by government can help police to ease their tension in this matter. Is not government wasting legal talent of advocates waiting for judicial hearing of their cases by few judges in stock and also waiting for legal cases to come to them from people? Secondly, let government increase the police force with attractive remuneration and facilities as fruit for their deserving service to Nation. The law and Nation devoted military and police force is pride of every Nation. The politicians can survive as heads of government of Nation only with the help law disciplined military force and law disciplined force of learned administrative and police executives. The judiciary with judges at Bench and advocates at Bar also play an important role in establishing and maintaining rule of law in and around country. Let politicians understand this truth in better sense and rectify the deteriorating law and order situation marching towards chaos and anarchy. My appeal is mainly to politicians because in democracy judiciary inclusive of both judges and advocates carry only selective merit in law and not elective merit in law and is meant only for check and balance purpose. It cannot be leader of Nation. It is mainly politicians who carry elective merit in law and can be leaders of Nation. -Adv.B.S.More
