(1) The study of different religions followed by different people makes an interesting journey of studious mind. It can be observed that images of spiritual messengers of some religions such as Jesus Christ of Christian religion and Gautam Buddha of Buddha religion do not have war weapons in their hands, but followers of Christian and Buddha religions are also forced by material reality of world to engage in wars. The image of spiritual messenger of Muslim religion viz. Mohammed Paigambar is hidden, but history says that said messenger had to take weapons in hand for religious war and followers of Muslim religion also take weapons in their hands for such war purpose. It can be seen that images of different Hindu gods and goddesses have war weapons in their hands and followers of Hindu religion also engage in wars if found necessary. In short, no religion makes exception to war and it shows that war is reality of material world.
(2) In the midst of aforesaid war reality involving violence, it is also true that human mind of any religious following has some soft corner of nobility wearing its own colours of love, kindness, compassion etc. According to me, this soft corner of human mind is source of spiritualism which has been accepted as religious soul by every religion.
(3) However, fact remains that hard materialism always overpowers soft spiritualism. It cannot be denied that let the soft spiritual or noble corner of human mind try to make its spiritual journey high by flying high with air in sky, the hard material human mind attached to heavy weight human body is forced by Nature to live hard in earth's material environment and die hard in earth's heavy weight land and/or water.
(4) In the aforesaid background, I take both spiritualism and materialism as facts of human life, but with small difference between said two facts by treating soft spiritualism as gaseous in form and light in weight such as air and hard materialism as solid and liquid in forms and heavy in weight such as land and water with my self conviction that spiritualism is also a part of materialism. This is because I look at all spiritual religions from one uniform eye of material science. -Adv.B.S.More
