ATHEISM VERSUS THEISM!
I seriously and studiously watched the conclusive function of 16th and 17th September, 2023 Atheists Conference video and was delighted to hear thought provoking lecture of great poet, dialogue writer and learned philosopher Shri Javedji Akhtar. Some basic questions and points came in my mind after listening to lecture of Javedji Akhtar & question answer session that followed after lecture. All those sitting on dias including Mr. Javedji Akhtar and members of audience are learned & intellectual persons and still following questions/points continue in my mind.
(1) Is world communally divided by God believing religion or otherwise?
(2) Can any nation be communal by its culture which may not be religious culture?
(3) Will there be end to caste based communalism once all people become atheists?
(4) Are our names such as Javed, Thempton, Peter, Ramesh etc. have their origin to religion and by what names we shall be recognised if such religion disappears from world?
(5) Why even the scientists, doctors, engineers who are learned in science do believe in God and continue to remain religious? Does it mean they are intellectually scientific but emotionally religious? How long this gap between science and religion shall continue in the minds of intellectual persons?
(6) Is the term "blind faith" wrong because faith is blind all time? What is the difference between logical but unproved belief in God and unproved (yet to be proved) science fiction?
(7) Are community culture and religion inter mixed? How can we separate religion from culture in Indian context?
(8) Can human brain act in illogical and irrational way in relation to the scientific facts? Are illogical, irrational and unscientific same things?
(9) Does being atheist mean being scientific and being theist mean being unscientific? Because even some scientists, doctors, engineers are theists?
(10) Is conflict between atheism and theism mean conflict between science and religion?
As a lawyer having learned about basic science in school curriculum and law in college curriculum and having practised law for almost 35 years in and out of courts established by social government, I have my thoughtfully conceived philosophy about theism. I do believe in God because I have my own logic. That logic is nothing can happen automatically and there cannot be creation without there being creator and for me that creator is God. My belief in God is definitely logical (which logic is yet to be proved as there are many things in universe which are yet to be proved by science) but definitely NOT unscientific. This is mainly because my own understanding about God is NOT the same as that of other theists and their God religion. It is different. It is scientific. I do NOT believe that God answers prayers. All religions have many mythological beliefs called superstitions. I do NOT follow them. I logically think that there must be all powerful God particle in universe (within Nature) having all powerful mass, energy and spirit which has created Universe/Nature by big bang explosion of its sub-particle as well as by its evolution and this God particle must be controlling Nature as per diverse laws of Nature which are NOT religious but scientific. For me, my God is scientific, logical and also rational and I have to follow him by being scientific, logical and rational!
